Smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, and Hisense all use the same activation flow: install the Prime Video app, grab a 6-digit code, and finish sign-in at amazon.com/mytv from your phone. This walkthrough covers every step and shows the small differences between brands.

Before you Start

Make sure you have:
  • A working internet connection on the TV.
  • An active Amazon Prime membership.
  • Your Amazon email and password ready on a phone or laptop.

Setup with amazon.com/mytv on Any device

1

Install the Prime Video app

Open your TV’s app store, search for Prime Video, and install it. On most TVs the app is already pre-loaded.
2

Launch and get the code

Open Prime Video and choose Sign in and start enjoying. Write down the 6-digit code shown on screen.
3

Visit amazon.com/mytv

On your phone, open a browser and go to amazon.com/mytv. Log in with your Amazon account.
4

Enter the code and register

Type the code, press Continue, then confirm the device name. Your TV signs in automatically.

Brand-specific notes

On Tizen models (2016 and newer) Prime Video is under Apps. If you cannot find it, sign in to your Samsung account first, then re-search. After installing, follow the amazon.com/mytv steps above.
LG webOS has Prime Video on the home ribbon. If it is missing, open the LG Content Store and install it manually. The activation code still uses amazon.com/mytv.
Bravia TVs run Android TV, so open the Play Store, install Prime Video, and pair through amazon.com/mytv. You may also see a Google prompt to confirm your account.
Most TCL and Hisense TVs use Roku or Google TV. Choose the Prime Video channel or app, then go to amazon.com/mytv and enter the code that appears.

After Activation of Amazon

Once amazon.com/mytv accepts the code, take a minute to:
  1. Set up parental controls in Prime Video settings.
  2. Add profiles for other family members.
  3. Download the Prime Video mobile app so you can cast to your TV.
